Free members can no longer use FTP or File Manager. In order to keep building your site, you have to use their Webon feature.   EDIT: Ah, looks like they added a new sentence to the bottom explaining that this affects only new members that signed up after the 23rd. Earlier members get to keep their FTP/FM. That's good news! December 31st Activeworlds is having a one day sale from 8am to 8pm EST. Existing citizens can renew for one year at $30 while people can register a new cit for one year at $40. It also includes a new P5/5 world with it. All citizenships have been renewed til January 4th so you can still renew your existing cit for $30 if you hurry! After thinking about it, I figured it'd be neat to have a little waterfall come down and have some buildings around it. It's the details that's going to be a pain, I'm sure. I have to break up the one room houses with walls, toss in furniture to make each room, etc... What I'm currently unhappy with is how 'unnaturesy' it is. I was hoping to weasel in more trees and plants. I guess I just gotta stick more around the area. I snagged up a lot but as you can see, it's pretty empty right now. Taking a few minutes to adjust to the new world. It's a 6x6 lot and anything goes! The prizes don't really interest me this time around (I don't win anything at these events anyways so...). They're worlds of various sizes given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. I most likely will end up doing one of my PDL Builds. "Pure Dumb Luck" where I just tinker and tinker and something forms out of the mess. hehe. I didn't want to do the train station and I was split between the toy store and bakery. I finally decided to do the bakery. I did lots of searching on Google's image search to find various bakeries.   12/08/10 12/09/10 12/10/10 I don't think I'm done with it. I keep walking around because it feels like I've missed something. Contest doesn't end for a while so I can just keep tinkering with it when ideas come. There's a Holiday Village contest in Winter world on Activeworlds. I built on a lot but I don't think it's one of the lots that would win a prize. I had fun tinkering with it though. Not sure if I'm done but I think I got everything as I possibly can.    A Quick Glimpse  It's all fun and games till someone loses an arm.  Don't they look lovely?  Glimpse of bedroom That's what I slapped together. I am incredibly thankful that the 'scale' feature exists. Even though I get ideas, they really don't flesh out well when I'm building. Sometimes something new pops up or I take a different path... It's just all like playing with clay. I have no set goal. I just have a little idea and hope it comes out okay. hehe.   The guild has been quiet for a few weeks now. Sort of. Either that or I'm coming on at the wrong times. Some members keep saying that the leaders rarely pop on anymore and that they're off playing other games. I know they played Battle of Immortals and all but eh... All I have done lately is go in to do the daily Crazy Stone quest and now I'm pretty much running out of money so I won't be surprised if I forget to log in eventually. It was a huge surprise because I've looked for these message boards quite a few times over the years but my searches came up empty. To come across them was like... wow. I thought they were just gone or that I had them on a disk that disappeared. I uploaded the messages to FG Archives. Fantasy Gathering on Tripod Messageboards   1999... What a blast from the past.
